Small group experience with maximum of 6 people. A hand-building task enabling you to create your own unique large ceramic flower to add to your garden border or large flower planter. Learn how to use slabs of clay and templates to create your petals and centre, add texture, underglaze or try sgraffito. Or select a glaze which we will apply to your piece once it has been bisque fired. The final piece will then be glaze fired and a stem added so it's then ready for collection.
Small group experience with a maximum of 6 people. A hand-building task using slabs to create your basic house shape during the morning. Adding texture where desired and sprigs to personalise your piece.
In the afternoon when your piece has had time to dry a little, you will use underglazes and sgraffito techniques to decorate your house. Your piece will be bisque fired and a clear glaze applied by us before a second firing to create your finished masterpiece.

Leaf vases & dishes

One wheel between two people (maximum class size 4, ideally two pairs). Fancy having a go on the wheel? Take turns at throwing as many pieces as you like on the wheel, select the best three pieces each to keep at the end of the session. We will turn your pots and bisque fire them ready for a dipping glaze of your choice to be applied before the glaze fire. If making plant pots we are happy to add some succulent plants prior to pick up.
Small group experience with a maximum of 6 people. A hand-building task incorporating leaf or flower imprinting on slabs. Bring your own foliage to create a cylindrical vase and a leaf shaped dish. Choose a glaze and we will do the rest.

Make a bird bath with two birds

Small group experience with a maximum of 6 people. Using a template you will slab build a base and lid for your dish. You can add texture with rollers, stamps or engraving. Be creative with your handle - anything goes like a seagull, mouse or lighthouse!
Bring your own packed lunch to enjoy while your pieces dry in the drying room.
In the afternoon, decorate your dish with colourful underglazes.
We will fire and clear dip your pieces before a second glaze firing completes your work of art!
Small group experience with a maximum of 6 people. Slab build a bird bath using a slump mould and adding texture and curves if desired. Make thumb pots which you will learn to sculpt into birds and select the best two to sit in your bird bath. Your pieces will be bisque fired and you can choose a dipping glaze which we will apply before firing your pieces for a second time.
Make Christmas decorations

Small group experience with a maximum of 6 people. Make your own set of personalised christmas decorations (up to 6). Using cutouts and clay slabs, stencils and stamps. Underglaze ready for bisque fire. We will then dip and glaze fire your pieces.
